What is found on the surface of the Earth and Moon?

Group member_____________________________________________Period______

Research Work to be illustrated on Earth/Moon Poster:

ü  What are the biggest/tallest/largest/longest (list size/length/area/height in Km):  mountains, valleys, craters, bodies of water, maria, and rivers of the Earth and Moon?  Illustrate them and make a Table to list them including the central Latitude and Longitude coordinates for each feature on the Earth.

ü  What are the atmospheres of the Earth and Moon?   What are the layers of the atmosphere and how high are they? (give a scale that compares earth to size of the atmosphere)

ü  How have humans changed the surface of the Earth: address extinction, pollution and natural resources?

ü  What is the hydrosphere and what are the different major bodies of water?   Are these salty or fresh water? What is the deepest lake? Ocean? Sea? Illustrate them and/or list them in a Table.

ü  EXTRA CREDIT:  Describe how Humans have visited the moon and different ways they might return to the moon in the future?

Works Cited Page for Individual Earth & Moon Quadrant Research (50 pt)
Hard deadline due: 1/4 or 5/11

You will need to create a WCP for the web and text based research you did in effort to answer the EQs for your quadrant.  Follow the Oceana Golden Page format.  You received a copy of the Golden Page in Humanities and can find it electronically on the OHS library web page.   Turn in your completed research WCP stapled to the back of the quadrant research or pasted to your research if you submit it electronically.
